"...classy, brassy" - The Villager

Symphonic Brass Alliance is a brass and percussion ensemble ranging from four to thirty musicians. They a great choice for academic ceremonies. They have performed for events at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, The arena and theater at Madison Square Garden, The Hammerstein Ballroom, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Radio City Music Hall. They were the featured large classical brass ensemble at the New York Brass Conference. They also performed at a reception for Spain's King Juan Carlos. SBA also has unique educational programs.

Each year they add to the pageantry of NYU's commencement by playing original arrangements in Washington Square Park. They also perform for many high profile events, such as press conferences and building dedications.

SBA is invited to perform every year for both the Washington Square Park Tree Lighting and Christmas Eve Sing. The Villager calls it a "classy, brassy Christmas". They are one of the ensembles selected for the "Christmas Around the World" coffee table book (Collins). In 2001, they were the featured ensemble for the Little Italy Christmas festival.

Members of SBA can also perform as a pop and jazz brass band. They were a featured ensemble for Macy's "100 Years on Broadway" celebration and the re-opening ceremony for Union Square Park. They have also performed at The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Empire State Building. After September 11th, 2001 they gave a series of free concerts of patriotic music in and around lower Manhattan. Clients include BaRock Orchestra, NYU, Hank Lane Music, Bsamin Productions, and The New York City Parks Department.
